Since 1954, many Telugu writers have been honoured with the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award. In this multi-part series, we provide you with the names of all these authors as well as their brief biographies and information about their writings. Covered in this section is Sri Baliwada Kantha Rao garu. He is a famous Telugu novelist and playwright. He has written 38 major and minor novels, 400 short stories, 5 major plays, several short plays and radio plays. In 1998 he received the Sahithya Akademy Award.
