Since 1954, many Telugu writers have been honoured with the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award. In this multi-part series, we provide you with the names of all these authors as well as their brief biographies and information about their writings. Covered in this section are Siva Reddy garu and Madhurantakam Rajaram garu. K. Siva Reddy garu is a prominent voice in contemporary Telugu poetry. He has published eleven collections of poetry and has won many honours, including the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1990. Mdhurantakam Rajaram garu is a famous storyteller. He has authored two novels, many novels, plays, songs, literary essays, and over four hundred short stories. He has also translated many Tamil works into Telugu. More about these two prolific writers and their works is brought to you in this presentation.
