Modernist architecture was an architectural movement or style of design that used new and modern ideas, building methods, technologies and materials for construction. These materials included reinforced concrete, glass and more such elements with the help of which people learned to come up with designs that encouraged minimalism and discarded unwanted ornamentation and details. The root of modernism is said to have stemmed from the huge influence of the age of enlightenment which was also the period of the industrial revolution.
