This book is a letter or epistle by Paul to the church in Roma: theological explanations and reflections on the redemption and salvation of man through Jesus Christ. Although Paul had not seen any of the church members face to face, his passion and love for them in Christ is evident. Up until chapter 11, Paul theologically explains salvation, redemption and the rejection of Israel among other subjects. From chapter 12, he gives them teachings on practical christian living. Ending with his much-desired plan on visiting them, he greets prominent people of the church by their names. Key verse from the book of Romans: (5:8) But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
