Rakthasakshikal nhangal nattin is a song from the drama Layanam. It was sung by KPAC Chandrashekharan, Prasanna and Rajamma Johnson. The music was composed by G Devarajan and lyrics written by Kaniyapuram Ramachandran. Devarajan has been awarded the Kerala Government's Best Music Director award five times, among other accolades. In 2005, he received the J. C. Daniel Award, the highest honour bestowed by the Kerala government for contributions to Malayalam cinema. He became a member of Kerala's once-famous theatre troupe, the Kerala People's Arts Club (KPAC). KPAC and its members had a clear communist leaning, and their dramas were instrumental in promoting the idea among the Keralite masses.
ലയനം നാടകത്തിലെ ഒരു ഗാനമാണ് "രക്തസാക്ഷികൾ ഞങ്ങൾ നാട്ടിൻ". കെപിഎസി ചന്ദ്രശേഖരൻ, പ്രസന്ന, രാജമ്മ ജോൺസൺ എന്നിവർ ചേർന്നാണ് പാടിയത്. കണിയാപുരം രാമചന്ദ്രന്റെ വരികൾക്ക് ജി ദേവരാജൻ സംഗീതം പകർന്നു. കേരള സർക്കാരിന്റെ മികച്ച സംഗീത സംവിധായകനുള്ള പുരസ്കാരം അഞ്ച് തവണ ദേവരാജന് ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. 2005-ൽ, മലയാള സിനിമയ്ക്കുള്ള സംഭാവനകൾക്ക് കേരള സർക്കാർ നൽകുന്ന പരമോന്നത ബഹുമതിയായ ജെ.സി.ഡാനിയേൽ അവാർഡ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ലഭിച്ചു. ഒരുകാലത്ത് കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രശസ്തമായ നാടക ട്രൂപ്പായ കേരള പീപ്പിൾസ് ആർട്സ് ക്ലബ്ബിൽ (കെപിഎസി) അംഗമായി. കെപിഎസിക്കും അതിലെ അംഗങ്ങൾക്കും വ്യക്തമായ കമ്മ്യൂണിസ്റ്റ് ചായ്വുണ്ടായിരുന്നു, അവരുടെ നാടകങ്ങൾ കേരളീയ ജനസാമാന്യത്തിൽ ആശയം പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിൽ പ്രധാന പങ്കുവഹിച്ചു.
