Puzhayude kalam is a malayalam poem written by A. Ayyappan. A. Ayyappan was a modernist Indian poet who wrote in Malayalam. In Malayalam poetry, he is known as the "Icon of anarchist". When Ayyappan was a student, he began composing poetry. He became a member of the Communist Party and worked for the party newspaper, Janayugom. Ayyappan is recognised for his heartfelt lyrics and his free-spirited lifestyle. Ayyappan, who became enamoured with the idea of transferring the anguish of the homeless into poetry, slept on shop verandas and produced poems that were pure portrayals of life. Destitution and uncertainty, in his own words, turned him into a poet. In Kerala, he is regarded as an emblem of anarchism.
