Psychological and Physical Effects of Cyberbullying

Presentations | English

We are fond of making fun of others. However, sometimes these enjoyable activities cross the line and cause harm to the individual. So, where do joking end and bullying begin? Not all jokes are bullying, but any joke that is damaging has the potential to become one. Bullying is a form of aggressive and damaging conduct that incorporates a power imbalance. Cyberbullying is bullying that is perpetrated by an individual or a group of individuals through electronic methods of communication. Simply put, it is the use of digital technologies to harass people. Cyberbullying takes place on social media, public forums, and other online information websites. It entails sending hurtful, rude, or threatening comments, posting sensitive or private information about others, posing as someone else to make someone look bad, and so on. Such aggressive behaviors have the potential to profoundly hurt and harm anyone. Cyberbullying must be addressed seriously because it has numerous negative consequences for the victim.
