Prosocial Behavior

Presentations | English

Did you know that emotions are electrochemical signals that flow through us in an unending cycle? They are released in our brains as a result of our world impressions. Psychology is a part of us and we are always aware of them. People engage in prosocial behavior when they act in ways that benefit together rather than themselves. Surprisingly, prosocial conduct improves the well-being of the individual who is helping. For one thing, helping others makes you feel good: it generally results in a better mood and less stress. Prosocial conduct is linked to increased psychological well-being, improved social interactions, and improved physical health, including longer lifespan. As a result, prosocial activity is beneficial to both people who receive assistance and those who provide assistance. Prosocial conduct includes altruism, cooperation and care giving, to name a few examples.
