"Malayalam Movie Songs This is a melodious song from the Malayalam movie “Shakuntala.” The evergreen song “Priyathama ...priyathama...pranayalekhanam engene ezhuthanam..munikumarikayalle.....” was penned by Vayalar Ramavarma and composed by G. Devarajan. The song was sung by P Susheela in raga – Bilahari. The film was released under the banner of Excel Productions, produced by M. Kunchako, which was shot extensively in Udaya Studios. The movie is an adaptation of the famed story Abhijnanashakuntalam written by renowned classical poet Kalidasa. The script was written by Thoppil Bhasi and the screen play was done by Lalithambika Antharjanam. The film was released across theatres in Kerala on November 13, 1965. The lead roles in the movie were donned by Satyan, Prem Nasir, Thikkurrussi, and Aranmula Ponnamma."

"
