Principles of Taxonomy

Taxonomy deals with the naming and classification of organisms and is an integrative part of biological systematics, the science of biodiversity. It is the science of naming, describing and classifying organisms and includes all plants, animals and microorganisms of the world. There are four taxonomic fundamental components which simplify the process of identification up to species level. These components are identification, characterization, classification and naming. The principles of Taxonomy is detailed in the presentation.
