The song "Pranayamanithooval" was sung by Sujatha Mohan for the movie Azhakiya Ravanan. It is a Malayalam drama film directed by Kamal and written by Sreenivasan that was released in 1996. Mammootty and Bhanupriya play the key roles in the film. Sreenivasan, Innocent, Biju Menon, Rajan P. Dev, and Cochin Haneefa are among the supporting cast members. Vidyasagar created the soundtrack for his first Malayalam film. A spin-off of this film is Chirakodinja Kinavukal, which was released in 2015. Vidyasagar made his Malayalam film debut with this film. For his songs, he received the Kerala State Film Award for Best Music Director. Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri wrote the words, and Vidyasagar created the music. Kerala State Film Awards for best lyricist was won by Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri, Best Music Director was won by Vidyasagar and Best Female Singer won by Sujatha Mohan.
"അഴകിയ രാവണൻ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന് വേണ്ടി സുജാത മോഹൻ പാടിയതാണ് പ്രണയമണിത്തൂവൽ എന്ന ഗാനം. ശ്രീനിവാസൻ തിരക്കഥയെഴുതി കമൽ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത് 1996-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഒരു മലയാള നാടക ചിത്രമാണിത്. മമ്മൂട്ടിയും ഭാനുപ്രിയയും ചിത്രത്തിൽ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ശ്രീനിവാസൻ, ഇന്നസെന്റ്, ബിജു മേനോൻ, രാജൻ പി. ദേവ്, കൊച്ചിൻ ഹനീഫ എന്നിവരും സഹതാരങ്ങൾ. വിദ്യാസാഗർ തന്റെ ആദ്യ മലയാള ചിത്രത്തിന് വേണ്ടി ശബ്ദട്രാക്ക് സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു. 2015ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ചിറകൊടിഞ്ഞ കിനാവുകൾ ആണ് ഈ ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഒരു സ്പിൻ-ഓഫ്. ഈ ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെയാണ് വിദ്യാസാഗർ മലയാള സിനിമയിൽ അരങ്ങേറ്റം കുറിച്ചത്. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഗാനങ്ങൾക്ക് മികച്ച സംഗീത സംവിധായകനുള്ള കേരള സംസ്ഥാന ചലച്ചിത്ര അവാർഡ് ലഭിച്ചു. കൈതപ്രം ദാമോദരൻ നമ്പൂതിരി വാക്കുകൾ എഴുതി, സംഗീതം വിദ്യാസാഗർ. മികച്ച ഗാനരചയിതാവിനുള്ള കേരള സംസ്ഥാന ചലച്ചിത്ര പുരസ്കാരം കൈതപ്രം ദാമോദരൻ നമ്പൂതിരി നേടി. വിദ്യാസാഗർ മികച്ച സംഗീത സംവിധായകനായി സുജാത മോഹൻ മികച്ച ഗായികയുമായി."
