The lyrics were written by Bichu Thirumala often referred as B. Sivasankaran Nair. Kattassery Joseph Yesudas who is a playback vocalist and musician from India who specializes in Indian classical, religious, and film music sung the song along with Sistla Janaki (Janakiamma).
