“ Poothumbee” is a Malayalam song from the movie Surveykallu which was released in the year 1976. This song was sung together by the famous playback singers P. Madhuri and Ganagandharvan K J Yesudas. The lyrics for this song were written by O. N. V. Kurup. This song was beautifully composed by music director G Devarajan. The film actors Usharani, Lakshmi, Manavalan Joseph, Mohan Sharma, M. G. Soman and Sankaradi played the lead character roles in this movie.
1976-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ സർവേകല്ല് എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഒരു മലയാളം ഗാനമാണ് “പൂത്തുംബീ”. പ്രശസ്ത പിന്നണി ഗായികമാരായ പി.മാധുരിയും ഗാനഗന്ധർവൻ കെ ജെ യേശുദാസും ചേർന്നാണ് ഈ ഗാനം ആലപിച്ചത്. ഒ എൻ വി കുറുപ്പാണ് ഈ ഗാനത്തിന്റെ വരികൾ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. സംഗീത സംവിധായകൻ ജി ദേവരാജൻ മനോഹരമായി ഈ ഗാനം ചിട്ടപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ചലച്ചിത്ര അഭിനേതാക്കളായ ഉഷാറാണി, ലക്ഷ്മി, മണവാളൻ ജോസഫ്, മോഹൻ ശർമ്മ, എം ജി സോമൻ, ശങ്കരാടി എന്നിവരാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത്.
