Plant growth could be defined as the increasing of plant volume and or mass with or without formation of new structures such as organs, tissues, cells or cell organelles. Growth is usually associated with development (cell and tissue specialisation) and reproduction (production of new individuals). The plant life cycle consists of four stages; seed, sprout, small plant and adult plant. When the seed gets planted into the soil with water and sun, then it will start to grow into a small sprout. Plant growth is the process by which the plant grows in size. A matured plant has a strong stem and healthy leaves. The growth process is enhanced by the nutrients and the light energy that is used during photosynthesis. Plant growth is the process by which the plant grows in size. Development is the progression from earlier to later stages in maturation, e.g. a fertilized egg develops into a mature tree. It is the process whereby tissues, organs, and whole plants are produced. Growth is the irreversible change in size of cells and plant organs due to both cell division and enlargement.
