Also known as biological psychology or behavioral neuroscience is study related to physiological bases of behaviour. It focuses on brain functioning and nervous system activities and how the physical structure of brain is related with consciousness and thinking. It investigates human behaviour, emotions, thought, perception, memory, learning and all terms related to psychology with respect to biological structure. Emotion plays a greater role in understanding human behaviour. It can be behavioral, autonomic or hormonal. Emotions can activate different areas in brain, for example, amygdala acts as main component of acquiring and expressing fear. Hormone secretion occurs with happiness, like dopamine and serotonin. Sleep is a behaviour which is provoked by the body for getting some rest for several hours. REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep is not a fully rested sleep, while which one experiences dream, also muscle movements with twitches.The topic can be understood in detail from the powerpoint presentation.
