Organizational behaviour (OB) is the "Study of human behaviour in organizational settings, the interface between human behaviour and the organization, and the organization itself". It refers to the behavioural dynamics that occur between groups and individuals in an organizational setting. Personality is the combination of characteristics or qualities that forms a person’s unique identity. Personality play a key role in organizational behaviour as the way people think, feel and behave affects many aspects of the workplace. In organizational behaviour studies, individual personality is important because an employees' individual personality refers to their dynamic mental structures and coordinated processes of the mind, which determine their emotional and behavioural changes to the organization. The personality traits which affect the organizational behaviour of a person are Authoritarianism, Bureaucratic Personality, Machiavellianism, Introversion and Extroversion, Problem Solving Style, Achievement Orientation, Locus of Control, Self Esteem, Self-Monitoring, Risk Taking, ‘Type A’ and ‘Type B’ Personality, and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
