Kalidasa Kala Kedhram presented the very renowned play “Doctor” in the year 1961. This song was composed by G. Devarajan, who was an Indian music composer and Carnatic vocalist. He scored music for more than three hundred Malayalam films, many dramas, twenty Tamil and four Kannada films. The lyrics for this drama song was written by O.N.V. Kurup and sung by Kaviyoor Ponnamma.
1961-ൽ കാളിദാസ കലാകേന്ദ്രം "ഡോക്ടർ" എന്ന വളരെ പ്രശസ്തമായ നാടകം അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. ഈ ഗാനം രചിച്ചത് ഇന്ത്യൻ സംഗീതസംവിധായകനും കർണാടക ഗായകനുമായിരുന്ന ജി.ദേവരാജനാണ്. മുന്നൂറിലധികം മലയാളം ചിത്രങ്ങൾ, നിരവധി നാടകങ്ങൾ, ഇരുപത് തമിഴ്, നാല് കന്നഡ സിനിമകൾ എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് അദ്ദേഹം സംഗീതം നൽകി. ഈ നാടകഗാനത്തിന്റെ വരികൾ എഴുതിയത് ഒ.എൻ.വി. കുറുപ്പും പാടിയത് കവിയൂർ പൊന്നമ്മയും.
