The song 'Pazham Thamizh Paattizhayum' is from the malayalam psychological horror thriller movie 'Manichitrathazhu' released in the year 1993. The film was directed by Fazil starring Mohanlal, Shobana, Suresh Gopi, Nedumudi Venu, Innocent and Thilakan. This song was sung by 'Ganagandarvan' K J Yesudas and music was composed by M G Radhakrishnan. Lyrics was written by Bichu Thirumala. The movie was later remade in different languages and bagged a number of award titles.
1993-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ 'മണിച്ചിത്രത്താഴ്' എന്ന മലയാളം സൈക്കോളജിക്കൽ ഹൊറർ ത്രില്ലറിലെ ഗാനമാണ് 'പഴം തമിഴ് പാട്ടിഴയും'. ഫാസിൽ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത ഈ ചിത്രത്തിൽ മോഹൻലാൽ, ശോഭന, സുരേഷ് ഗോപി, നെടുമുടി വേണു, ഇന്നസെന്റ്, തിലകൻ എന്നിവരെ കേന്ദ്ര കഥാപാത്രങ്ങൾ ആണ്. 'ഗാനഗന്ധർവൻ' കെ ജെ യേശുദാസ് പാടിയ ഈ ഗാനത്തിന് സംഗീതം നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നത് എം ജി രാധാകൃഷ്ണനാണ്. ബിച്ചു തിരുമലയാണ് വരികൾ എഴുതിയത്. ചിത്രം നിരവധി അവാർഡുകൾ നേടുകയും, പിന്നീട് വിവിധ ഭാഷകളിലേക്ക് റീമേക്ക് ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തു.
