Who all are involved in Industrial relations? The main participants in industrial relations are employees or their trade unions, employers and their associations, and the government. Employers have their associations to deal with labor problems and their unions in a collective way. These three parties interact within the economic and social environment to shape the structure of Industrial relations. The two parties-workers and management are involved in the process of establishing relations. However, government agencies regulate /maintain industrial relations. The main purpose of trade unions is to protect the worker's economic interest through collective bargaining and by bringing pressure on management through economic and political practices. Employers are responsible for providing a favorable work environment for the employees. Government plays a key role in labor relations as a regulator, facilitator, and protector of the public interest.
