"Pallanayaarin Theerathil" is a song from the movie Ningalenne Communistakki sung by P. Susheela, M. G. Radhakrishnan. The drama Ningalenne Communistakki was originally performed in 1952 and is based on this movie. It is regarded as a watershed moment in the history of Malayalam theatre. Thoppil Bhasi wrote and directed the film, which was produced by Kunchacko. Prem Nazir, Sathyan, Sheela, and Jayabharathi play the key roles in the film. Vayalar Ramavarma wrote the lyrics, and G. Devarajan composed the music. Thoppil Bhasi was prolific in terms of his creative output during his active years in theatre and movies. He directed 16 films and wrote 16 full-length plays. He also wrote over 100 screenplays. Oliviley Ormakal was the title of his autobiography. He wrote short stories for a variety of magazines and was a regular contributor to the Janayugom Magazine, both of which have yet to be collected and preserved.
പി.സുശീല, എം.ജി.രാധാകൃഷ്ണൻ എന്നിവർ ചേർന്ന് ആലപിച്ച നിങ്ങളെന്നെ കമ്മ്യൂണിസ്റ്റാക്കി എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഒരു ഗാനമാണ്"പല്ലനായരുടെ തീരത്തിൽ". 1952-ൽ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച 'നിങ്ങളെന്നെ കമ്മ്യൂണിസ്റ്റാക്കി' എന്ന നാടകം ഈ സിനിമയെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയുള്ളതാണ്. മലയാള നാടക ചരിത്രത്തിലെ ഒരു നീച മുഹൂർത്തമായി ഇതിനെ കണക്കാക്കുന്നു. കുഞ്ചാക്കോ നിർമ്മിച്ച ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ രചനയും സംവിധാനവും തോപ്പിൽ ഭാസിയാണ്. പ്രേം നസീർ, സത്യൻ, ഷീല, ജയഭാരതി എന്നിവരാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. വയലാർ രാമവർമ എഴുതിയ വരികൾക്ക് ജി.ദേവരാജൻ സംഗീതം നൽകി. തിയേറ്ററിലും സിനിമയിലും സജീവമായ വർഷങ്ങളിൽ തോപ്പിൽ ഭാസി തന്റെ ക്രിയേറ്റീവ് ഔട്ട്പുട്ടിന്റെ കാര്യത്തിൽ സമൃദ്ധമായിരുന്നു. 16 സിനിമകൾ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്യുകയും 16 മുഴുനീള നാടകങ്ങൾ എഴുതുകയും ചെയ്തു. 100-ലധികം തിരക്കഥകളും അദ്ദേഹം എഴുതി. ഒലീവിൻ്റെ ഓർമകൾ എന്നായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആത്മകഥയുടെ പേര്. വിവിധ മാസികകൾക്കായി ചെറുകഥകൾ എഴുതിയ അദ്ദേഹം ജനയുഗം മാസികയിൽ സ്ഥിരമായി എഴുതുകയും ചെയ്തു, ഇവ രണ്ടും ഇതുവരെ ശേഖരിക്കുകയും സംരക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല.
