The Padma Bhushan is awarded to those who have rendered outstanding services to the country in the fields of arts, social service, medicine, public life, science and technology. This is the third most prestigious award give by the Government of India, standing only next to the the Bharat Ratna and the Padma Vibhushan. The Padma Bhushan award was introduced in 1954 and is presented by the Prime Minister. The Padma Bhushan is also given to foreigners. This three-part presentation brings to you a list and a brief biography of the various Padma Bhushan awardees from the state of Andhra Pradesh.
కళలు, సామాజిక సేవ, వైద్య రంగం, ప్రజా జీవితం, విజ్ఞాన మరియు సాంకేతిక శాస్త్రం వంటి రంగాల్లో దేశానికి విశేష సేవలు అందించిన వారికి కేంద్రం భారతరత్న తరువాతి స్థానంగా పద్మ పురస్కారాలను ఇస్తుంది. భారత రత్న, పద్మ విభూషణ్ తర్వాత పద్మభూషణ్ పురస్కారమునకు ప్రాముఖ్యతలో మూడవ స్థానం ఉంది. దీనిని 1954లో 23 మందికి అందిస్తూ ప్రవేశపెట్టడం జరిగింది. దీనిని ప్రతీ సంవత్సరం ప్రధానమంత్రి బహుకరిస్తారు. విదేశీయులకు కూడా ఈ అవార్డులను అందిస్తారు. అయితే మన ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్రంలో పద్మభూషణ్ పురస్కారాలు ఎవరెవరు అందుకున్నారో ఏ రంగంలో అందుకున్నారో ఈ మూడు భాగాల శ్రేణిలో తెలియజేయడం జరిగింది.
