Pachanellin Kathirukothi is a malayalam song in the movie Thiruvonam. Thiruvonam is a Malayalam-language film directed by Sreekumaran Thampi and produced by K. P. Mohanan that was released in 1975. Prem Nazir, Sharada, Kamal Haasan, and Jayasudha appear in the film. R. K. Shekhar composed the film's musical score, and M. K. Arjunan composed the music for songs. The lyrics were written by Sreekumaran Thambi for the song. The song was sung by P. Jayachandran and P. Madhuri. Paliyath Jayachandrakuttan, also known as P. Jayachandran or simply Jayachandran, is a Kerala-based Indian playback singer and classical musician. Jayachandran is most renowned for his seductive voice, which has earned him the title of Bhava Gayakan among the South Indian music community.
തിരുവോണം എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഒരു മലയാളം ഗാനമാണ് പച്ചനെല്ലിൻ കതിരുകൊത്തി. ശ്രീകുമാരൻ തമ്പി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത് കെ.പി. മോഹനൻ നിർമ്മിച്ച് 1975-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ മലയാളചലച്ചിത്രമാണ് തിരുവോണം. പ്രേം നസീർ, ശാരദ, കമൽഹാസൻ, ജയസുധ എന്നിവർ ചിത്രത്തിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടുന്നു. ആർ.കെ.ശേഖർ ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ സംഗീതസംവിധാനവും എം.കെ.അർജുനൻ ഗാനങ്ങൾക്ക് സംഗീതവും നിർവഹിച്ചു. ഗാനത്തിന് വരികൾ എഴുതിയത് ശ്രീകുമാരൻ തമ്ബിയാണ്. പി.ജയചന്ദ്രനും പി.മാധുരിയും ചേർന്നാണ് ഗാനം ആലപിച്ചത്. പി. ജയചന്ദ്രൻ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ലളിതമായി ജയചന്ദ്രൻ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന പാലിയത്ത് ജയചന്ദ്രക്കുട്ടൻ, കേരളത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ പിന്നണി ഗായകനും ശാസ്ത്രീയ സംഗീതജ്ഞനുമാണ്. തെന്നിന്ത്യൻ സംഗീത സമൂഹത്തിനിടയിൽ ഭാവഗായകൻ എന്ന പദവി നേടിക്കൊടുത്ത ജയചന്ദ്രനെ വശീകരിക്കുന്ന ശബ്ദത്തിന് ഏറ്റവും പ്രശസ്തനാണ്.
