The song "Paadaam Paadaam Aromalchekavar" was sung by K. J. Yesudas and P. Jayachandran for the movie Aromalunni. The music was composed by G. Devarajan and the lyrics were written by Vayalar Ramavarma. Kunchacko directed and produced Aromalunni, a 1975 Indian Malayalam film based on Vadakkan Pattukal, a compilation of mediaeval Northern Ballads. Prem Nazir, Vijayasree, Ravichandran, and Sheela play the lead roles in the film. G. Devarajan composed the film's soundtrack. The film is a sequel to Unniyarcha, which was released in 1966. This picture was a major box office hit. The Vadakkan Pattukal mentions Unniyarcha as a legendary warrior and heroine.
ആരോമലുണ്ണി എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന് വേണ്ടി കെ.ജെ.യേശുദാസും പി.ജയചന്ദ്രനും ചേർന്നാണ് പാടാം പാടാം ആരോമൽചേകവർ എന്ന ഗാനം ആലപിച്ചത്. വയലാർ രാമവർമ എഴുതിയ വരികൾക്ക് സംഗീതം നൽകിയത് ജി.ദേവരാജനാണ്. കുഞ്ചാക്കോ ആരോമലുണ്ണി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്യുകയും നിർമ്മിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു, 1975-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ, വടക്കൻ പാട്ടുകളെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കി, മധ്യകാല വടക്കൻ ബാലാഡ്സിന്റെ സമാഹാരം. പ്രേം നസീർ, വിജയശ്രീ, രവിചന്ദ്രൻ, ഷീല എന്നിവരാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. ജി.ദേവരാജനാണ് ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ശബ്ദരേഖ ഒരുക്കിയത്. 1966ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഉണ്ണിയാർച്ചയുടെ തുടർച്ചയാണ് ഈ ചിത്രം. ഈ ചിത്രം വലിയ ബോക്സ് ഓഫീസ് ഹിറ്റായിരുന്നു.
