Hajara Beavi is the mother of Prophet Ismael, the first son of Ibrahim. He is associated with Makkah and the construction of the Kaaba. Ismail is considered to be the ancestor of Muhammad. Ismael is one of the most notable figures in the Qur'an. Ismael enjoined worship and charity on his people and was acceptable to his Lord. With God's promise of protection, Ibrahim sends Hajara and Ismael into the desert. The Arabs especially like Hajara and their son who trace their lineage. She and her son wandered aimlessly until their water was completely consumed. In a moment of despair, she burst into tears. God heard her and her son crying and came to rescue them.During the Hajj (religious pilgrimage) in Makkah, the pilgrim re-introduces Hajara's desperate search for water for his baby, Runs seven times between two hills, Safa and Marwa. Zamzam is the water from a well that claims to have miraculously risen at the feet of baby Ismail from the dry earth. The Arabs were fully aware that the Quraish were the descendants of Ismael.
