The theme of these songs revolve around matters of social and cultural importance of those times. These songs evolved and were refined over time. These songs did not have a lyricist to whom the credits could be attributed. These songs did not comply to the grammatical framework of mainstream language. Most folks songs were borne out of the dialect dominant in that region. Themes of these songs were deeply entwined with the customs and cultural practices of that community or region."
