Oru Pattu Pnneyum' is a poem by Sugathakumari. Sugathakumari was an Indian poet and activist in Kerala, South India, who was at the forefront of environmental and feminist movements. Sugathakumari's earlier poetry was more lyrical, dealing with the tragic yearning for love, than her later works, which replaced the peaceful, lyrical sensibility with increasingly feminist responses to social chaos and injustice. Her poetry also vividly depicts environmental challenges and other contemporary topics. Sugathakumari has been recognised as one of the most sensitive and thoughtful Malayalam poets of her generation.
