'Oru naal shubharathri nernnu poyi nee' is a song from the movie Gulmohar (2008) which is a Malayalam action film directed by Jayaraj and starring Jagadeesh, Meera Vasudevan, Ranjith, and Siddique. It's music director was Johnson and the lyrics written by O N V Kurup. Vijay Yeshudas and Shwetha Mohan were the singers of this song. Shweta Mohan is an Indian singer who specialises in film and television soundtracks. She has won four Filmfare Awards for Best Female Playback Singer in the South, as well as a Kerala State Film Award and a Tamil Nadu State Film Award. In this movie Induchoodan (Ranjith) is a guest lecturer in a college. He is a revolutionary who dreams equality and justice and is willing to take up arms against injustice. He launches an operation to eradicate individuals who exploit tribals in order to achieve social equality. He gets caught and is sentenced to imprisonment. After six years he comes out of jail. The movie talks about the rest of the life of Induchoodan.
ജയരാജ് സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത് ജഗദീഷ്, മീര വാസുദേവൻ, രഞ്ജിത്ത്, സിദ്ദിഖ് എന്നിവർ അഭിനയിച്ച ഗുൽമോഹർ (2008) എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഒരു ഗാനമാണ് 'ഒരു നാൾ ശുഭരാത്രി നേർന്നു പോയി നീ'. ഒ എൻ വി കുറുപ്പിന്റെ വരികൾക്ക് ജോൺസൺ ആയിരുന്നു ഇതിൻ്റെ സംഗീത സംവിധായകൻ. വിജയ് യേശുദാസും ശ്വേത മോഹനുമാണ് ഈ ഗാനത്തിലെ ഗായകർ. ചലച്ചിത്ര-ടെലിവിഷൻ സൗണ്ട് ട്രാക്കുകളിൽ പ്രാവീണ്യം നേടിയ ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ ഗായികയാണ് ശ്വേത മോഹൻ. ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യയിലെ മികച്ച പിന്നണി ഗായികയ്ക്കുള്ള നാല് ഫിലിംഫെയർ അവാർഡുകളും കേരള സംസ്ഥാന ചലച്ചിത്ര അവാർഡും തമിഴ്നാട് സംസ്ഥാന ചലച്ചിത്ര അവാർഡും അവർ നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഈ സിനിമയിൽ ഇന്ദുചൂഡൻ (രഞ്ജിത്ത്) ഒരു കോളേജിലെ ഗസ്റ്റ് ലക്ചററാണ്. സമത്വവും നീതിയും സ്വപ്നം കാണുന്ന, അനീതിക്കെതിരെ ആയുധമെടുക്കാൻ തയ്യാറായ വിപ്ലവകാരി. സാമൂഹിക സമത്വം നേടുന്നതിനായി ആദിവാസികളെ ചൂഷണം ചെയ്യുന്ന വ്യക്തികളെ ഉന്മൂലനം ചെയ്യാൻ അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു ഓപ്പറേഷൻ ആരംഭിക്കുന്നു. പിടിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ജയിൽ ശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. ആറ് വർഷത്തിന് ശേഷം ജയിലിൽ നിന്ന് പുറത്തിറങ്ങി. ഇന്ദുചൂഡന്റെ ബാക്കി ജീവിതത്തെക്കുറിച്ചാണ് ചിത്രം പറയുന്നത്.
