'Oru Mazha Peythenkil' is a poem by poet and lyricist Anil Panachooran. He is a poet who sang love and revolution in the rain. The poet of letters who carved lines into the heart of the taster. With poems like 'Anaadhan,' penned in the 1990s, he gained notoriety among poetry lovers in the State even before he made his cinematic debut. The poem, about a mentally challenged woman who gives birth on the street, was eventually turned into a song for the film Makalkku, which dealt with a similar theme. 'Oru Mazha Peythengil’ is one of his famous poem. He continued to write lyrics consistently for Malayalam films, touching on a variety of subjects through his songs. His last lyrics were penned for the movie "Within Seconds" (2021). He completed the last lines of his song just a few hours before his death.
കവിയും ഗാനരചയിതാവുമായ അനിൽ പനച്ചൂരാന്റെ കവിതയാണ് 'ഒരു മഴ പെയ്തെങ്കില്'. മഴയിൽ പ്രണയവും വിപ്ലവവും കലർത്തി പാടിയ കവിയാണദ്ദേഹം. ആസ്വാദകന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ വരികൾ കൊത്തിയ അക്ഷരങ്ങളുടെ കവി. 1990-കളിൽ രചിച്ച 'അനാധൻ' പോലുള്ള കവിതകളിലൂടെ, സിനിമാരംഗത്ത് അരങ്ങേറ്റം കുറിക്കുന്നതിന് മുമ്പ് തന്നെ സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ കാവ്യപ്രേമികൾക്കിടയിൽ അദ്ദേഹം പ്രസിദ്ധി നേടി. തെരുവിൽ പ്രസവിക്കുന്ന മാനസിക വൈകല്യമുള്ള ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള കവിത ഒടുവിൽ സമാനമായ പ്രമേയം കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്ത മകൾക്ക് എന്ന സിനിമയിലെ ഗാനമായി മാറി. 'ഒരു മഴ പെയ്തെങ്കില്' അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പ്രശസ്തമായ കവിതകളിലൊന്നാണ്. തന്റെ ഗാനങ്ങളിലൂടെ വിവിധ വിഷയങ്ങളെ സ്പർശിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് അദ്ദേഹം മലയാള സിനിമകൾക്ക് തുടർച്ചയായി വരികൾ എഴുതുന്നത് തുടർന്നു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അവസാന വരികൾ "വിത്തിൻ സെക്കൻഡ്സ്" (2021) എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന് വേണ്ടി എഴുതിയതാണ്. മരിക്കുന്നതിന് ഏതാനും മണിക്കൂറുകൾക്ക് മുമ്പ് അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ ഗാനത്തിന്റെ അവസാന വരികൾ പൂർത്തിയാക്കി.
