“ Oru Matham Oru Jathi” is a Malayalam song from the movie Achanum baappayum which was released in the year 1972. This song was sung together by the famous playback singer P. Madhuri, P. B. Sreenivas and chorus. The lyrics for this song were written by Vayalar Ramavarma. This song was beautifully composed by music director G Devarajan. The film actors Kottarakkara Sreedharan Nair, K. P. Ummer, Jayabharathi, Adoor Bhasi, Ayyappan Pillai, Bahadoor, Vincent and Master Raghu played the lead character roles in this movie.
1972-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ അച്ഛനും ബാപ്പയും എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഒരു മലയാളം ഗാനമാണ് “ഒരു മതം ഒരു ജാതി”. ഈ ഗാനം പ്രശസ്ത പിന്നണി ഗായിക പി.മാധുരി, പി.ബി. ശ്രീനിവാസ്, കോറസ് എന്നിവർ ചേർന്നാണ് ആലപിച്ചത്. വയലാർ രാമവർമയാണ് ഈ ഗാനത്തിന്റെ വരികൾ എഴുതിയത്. സംഗീത സംവിധായകൻ ജി ദേവരാജൻ മനോഹരമായി ഈ ഗാനം ചിട്ടപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. കൊട്ടാരക്കര ശ്രീധരൻ നായർ, കെ പി ഉമ്മർ, ജയഭാരതി, അടൂർ ഭാസി, അയ്യപ്പൻ പിള്ള, ബഹദൂർ, വിൻസെന്റ്, മാസ്റ്റർ രഘു എന്നിവരാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത്.
