"Kalachakram" is a Malayalam film directed by K. Narayanan and produced by A. Raghunath that was released in 1973. This lovely song was written by Sreekumaran Thampi while it was composed by G. Devarajan and sung by K.J. Yesudas and P. Susheela. Prem Nazir, Jayabharathi, Bahadoor, and Adoor Bhasi appear in this film. The plot centres on a woman from a wealthy family who, much to her mother's dismay falls in love with a boatman from her village. Faced with societal rejection, the couple go to the large city and begin a new life.
