The song 'Oridathoridathoru...' is from the drama 'Puthiya Aakasham puthiya bhoomi'. Song written by ONV Kurup, music by G Devarajan and sung by K Sulochana. Thoppil Bhasi wrote and directed the play Puthiya Aakasham Puthiya Bhoomi. The Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Drama was won by Thoppil Bhasi in 1960.Thoppil Bhasi wrote the story, screenplay and dialogues under the same name. The film, directed by M S Mani, was released in 1962.
"പുതിയ ആകാശം പുതിയ ഭൂമി" എന്ന നാടകത്തിലെ ഗാനമാണ് "ഒരിടത്തൊരിടത്തൊരു രാജ്യത്തെ രാജകുമാരീ ഒരു മുത്തശ്ശിക്കഥയുടെ മഞ്ചലിലേറി വരൂ നീ" എന്ന ഈ ഗാനം. ഒ എൻ വി കുറുപ്പ് എഴുതി , ജി ദേവരാജൻ സംഗീതം നൽകി, കെ സുലോചന ആലപിച്ച ഗാനം. ഗ്രാമ ഫോൺ റെക്കോഡിൽ പാടിയത് കെ. റാണി ആണ് . തോപ്പിൽ ഭാസി രചിച്ച നാടകമാണ് പുതിയ ആകാശം പുതിയ ഭൂമി. 1960-ൽ നാടകരചനയ്ക്കുള്ള കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി പുരസ്കാരം ഈ കൃതി നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇതേ പേരിൽ തോപ്പിൽ ഭാസി കഥയും തിരക്കഥയും സംഭാഷണവുമെഴുതി എം.എസ്. മണി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത ചലച്ചിത്രം 1962-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.
