Presentations | English

OS is an interface between the computer hardware and software which performs various functions. Network OS helps in performing activities across a network connected systems. Two types: peer to peer and client/server. Peer to peer helps in sharing files or resources in one's own computer and also in another computer connected in the same network. That is all the systems are treated as same and this type is designed mainly for small or medium networks. Almost all modern desktop OS are capable to function as peer to peer. Client/server helps in centralizing the functioning into one or more dedicated servers through a network. This provides the technique to integrate all network components and also multiple users can share resources without considering the physical location. Scalability and flexibility are advantages of this type of networking OS. More information can be obtained from the PowerPoint presentation.
