Onomatopoeic words are present in all languages of the world. They are words that mimic natural sounds in nature and are used mostly to indicate nouns or emotions. The Telugu language also has close to 300 such onomatopoeic words. Mostly, these words occur in pairs, with repetitive sounds. ‘Kata Kata’ and ‘Kuha Kuha’ are two examples of such words.
