“Othenante Makan” is a 1970 Indian Malayalam – language action drama film directed and produced by Kunchacko. The film stars Prem Nazir, Ragini, Sathyan, Sheela and Kaviyoor Ponnamma. The musical score of the film was done by G. Devarajan. The story was written by N. Govindankutty. The film narrates the sad tale of a brave lady Thekkumpattu Kunji to whom life was unfair. The song “Onnanam Kulakkadavil Oraayiram Kanyakamaaru…” consists of the actor Sheela and some dancers in the background. The lyrics of the song written by Vayalar Ramavarma and sung by B. Vasantha holds a very uplifting tone and the actors seem to be submerged in the tune as they dance along with it.
കുഞ്ചാക്കോ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത് നിർമ്മിക്കുന്ന 1970-ലെ ഇന്ത്യൻ മലയാളം - ഭാഷാ ആക്ഷൻ ഡ്രാമ ചിത്രമാണ് "ഒതേനന്റെ മകൻ". പ്രേം നസീർ, രാഗിണി, സത്യൻ, ഷീല, കവിയൂർ പൊന്നമ്മ എന്നിവരാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന താരങ്ങൾ. ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ സംഗീതം നിർവ്വഹിച്ചത് ജി.ദേവരാജനാണ്. എൻ.ഗോവിന്ദൻകുട്ടിയാണ് കഥ എഴുതിയത്. ജീവിതം അന്യായമായ തേക്കുംപാട്ട് കുഞ്ഞി എന്ന ധീര വനിതയുടെ ദുഃഖകഥയാണ് ചിത്രം വിവരിക്കുന്നത്. “ഒന്നാനം കുളക്കടവിൽ ഒരായിരം കന്യകാമാരൂ...” എന്ന ഗാനത്തിൽ നടി ഷീലയും പിന്നണിയിൽ ചില നർത്തകരും ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. വയലാർ രാമവർമ എഴുതി ബി.വസന്ത ഈണമിട്ട ഗാനത്തിന്റെ വരികൾക്ക് ഉജ്ജ്വലമായ സ്വരമുണ്ട്, അഭിനേതാക്കൾ അതിനൊപ്പം നൃത്തം ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ രാഗത്തിൽ മുങ്ങിത്താഴുന്നതായി തോന്നുന്നു.
