Mollywood's music industry is something that has been striving since the time of Malayalam cinema itself. It has produced a wide range of artists during its course of time and we can see that it is flourishing everyday with different artists bringing in popular songs that is hard to leave our mind and it keeps repeating in our head. The importance of music in Kerala culture can be demonstrated by the fact that musical poetry developed long before prose in Malayalam. Kerala music has a long and illustrious history. It is not the same as Malayalam poetry, despite the fact that the majority of it is poetry-driven. Kerala has a long history of Carnatic music. Songs were an important part of early Malayalam literature, which dates back to the 9th century CE.
