“Nothing has much power to broaden the mind as the ability to investigate systematically and truly all that comes under thy observation in life” – Marcus Aurelius. Observation skills refer to the ability to use all five of your senses to recognize, analyze and recall your surroundings. This practice is often associated with mindfulness because it encourages you to be present and aware of the details of your daily life. It can also be defined as the action or process of observing something or someone in order to gain information. Improving your observation skills allows you to “listen” with more than just your ears and make better decisions. It also enhances your ability to interact with others and to respond in an appropriate manner. The presentation gives further insight on the topic.
