"Malayalam Poem – Njanapana – Poonthanam Poonthanam was a legendary poet most renowned for his contributions to Malayalam devotional poetry. Njanapana is the most famous of his poems. The poem is acclaimed mostly for the simplicity with which it interprets Indian philosophy. This poem focuses on the futility of the material world and the need to take refuge in God and eternal truths by highlighting the ironies in the world around us. The Njanapana starts with these lines... “Krishna Krishna Mukunda Janardhana. Krishna Govinda Narayana Hare. Achuthananda Govinda Madhava. Sachidananda Narayana Hare. Gurunadhan Thunacheyka Santhatham. Thirunamangal Navinmeleppozhum. Priyathirikanam nammude Narajanmam safalamakiduvan.”"
