“Nadhikalil Sundhari Yamunaa” is a beautiful song from the Malayalam movie Anarkali, which was released in the year 1966. This song was sung together by the playback singers Ganagandharvan K J Yesudas and B. Vasantha. The lyrics for this song were written by Vayalar Ramavarma. This song was composed by the music director M. S. Baburaj. The film actors Prem Nazir, K. R. Vijaya, Sathyan, Thikkurissy, Kottarakkara Sreedharan Nair, Ambika Sukumaran and Philomina played the lead character roles in this movie.
1966-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ അനാർക്കലി എന്ന മലയാളചലച്ചിത്രത്തിലെ മനോഹരമായ ഒരു ഗാനമാണ് “നദികളിൽ സുന്ദരി യമുനാ”. പിന്നണി ഗായകരായ ഗാനഗന്ധർവൻ കെ ജെ യേശുദാസും ബി വസന്തയും ചേർന്നാണ് ഈ ഗാനം ആലപിച്ചത്. വയലാർ രാമവർമയാണ് ഈ ഗാനത്തിന്റെ വരികൾ എഴുതിയത്. ഈ ഗാനം ചിട്ടപ്പെടുത്തിയത് സംഗീത സംവിധായകൻ എം എസ് ബാബുരാജാണ്. ചലച്ചിത്ര അഭിനേതാക്കളായ പ്രേം നസീർ, കെ.ആർ.വിജയ, സത്യൻ, തിക്കുറിശ്ശി, കൊട്ടാരക്കര ശ്രീധരൻ നായർ, അംബിക സുകുമാരൻ, ഫിലോമിന എന്നിവരാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത്.
