1980ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ സ്വത്ത് എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഒരു മലയാളം ഗാനമാണ് “മുത്തിനുവേണ്ടി മൂങ്ങാംകുഴി”. പിന്നണി ഗായകൻ ഗാനഗന്ധർവൻ കെ ജെ യേശുദാസാണ് ഈ ഗാനം ആലപിച്ചത്. കാവാലം നാരായണപ്പണിക്കരാണ് ഈ ഗാനത്തിന്റെ വരികൾ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. സംഗീത സംവിധായകൻ ജി ദേവരാജൻ മനോഹരമായി ഈ ഗാനം ചിട്ടപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ചലച്ചിത്ര അഭിനേതാക്കളായ ജഗതി ശ്രീകുമാർ, തിക്കുറിശ്ശി സുകുമാരൻ നായർ, ജയദേവൻ, സറീന വഹാബ്, പോൾ വെങ്ങോല, മധു മൽഹോത്ര എന്നിവരാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത്. എൻ ശങ്കരൻ നായർ ആണ് ഈ ചിത്രം സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തത്.
