This romantic song was sung by K.J. Yesudas for the film "Mucheettukalikkarante Makal." The lyrics were written by Vayalar Ramavarma and the music was composed by G. Devarajan. Thoppil Bhasi directed and S.K Nair produced this Malayalam film, which was released in 1975. This film was an adaptation from the novel of Vaikom Muhammad Basheer. Rani Chandra, Bahadoor, KPAC Lalitha, Adoor Bhasi, Manavalan Joseph, and Alummoodan were among the actors who appeared in this film.
"മുച്ചീട്ടുകളിക്കാരന്റെ മകൾ" എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന് വേണ്ടി കെ.ജെ. യേശുദാസ് പാടിയ റൊമാന്റിക് ഗാനമാണിത്. വയലാർ രാമവർമ എഴുതിയ വരികൾക്ക് ജി. ദേവരാജനാണ് സംഗീതം. തോപ്പിൽ ഭാസി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത് എസ്.കെ നായർ നിർമ്മിച്ച ഈ മലയാളം ചിത്രം 1975-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങി. വൈക്കം മുഹമ്മദ് ബഷീറിന്റെ നോവലിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഒരു അനുകരണമായിരുന്നു ഈ ചിത്രം. റാണി ചന്ദ്ര, ബഹദൂർ, കെ.പി.എ.സി ലളിത, അടൂർ ഭാസി, മണവാളൻ ജോസഫ്, ആലുംമൂടൻ എന്നിവരും ഈ സിനിമയിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചവരിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു.
