Did you know that the first cine studio in Andhra Pradesh was built in 1935, not in Hyderabad, but in the city of Visakhapatnam? During World War II, the British had restricted the use of film strip to half its earlier limit, thereby the number of movies released during this time reduced. For a long time, the Telugu film industry functioned out of Madras and it was only after the formation of a separate Telugu State that the movie industry moved to Hyderabad. This presentation offers such interesting information on the Telugu film studios, which are mostly today centred in Hyderabad.
