Motivation

Presentations | English

Motivation has three components: 1.Direction - what a person is attempting to do 2.Effort - how hard a person is attempting to work 3.Persistence - how long a person tries. The method may be purposed; however, an effort is what establishes momentum, and persistence determines how the change is carried out (in time also as in the magnitude of outcome). (From the Client-Centered Approach) As a result, Arnold's three elements are appropriate for explaining the level of motivation displayed by an individual or a team.
