The technology used in Mobile Computing allows the user to transmit and receive any kind of audio or visual data through devices that are not connected physically. It is connected over a network and is portable. The main aim of this technology is to create systems and software for application in smaller and more battery power-based terminals, which will only be connected through a wireless network. Initially of what was a simple idea, the concept has been taking shape for a long period of time and has now eventually taken its shape. The device is also called ‘transportable’ and ‘luggable’ systems because of its portable nature. Osborne 1 is the most popular example of them all.
