What are the Principles and Types of Microscopy? Microscopy is the technical field of using microscopes to view samples & objects that cannot be seen with the unaided eye (objects that are not within the resolution range of the normal eye). Types of microscopy: Electron microscope, Microscope, Fluorescence microscope, Phase contrast microscopy, Dark-field microscopy, Microscopy, Confocal microscopy, Scanning electron microscope, Scanning probe microscopy, Transmission electron microscopy Transmission Electron Microscope (Tem), Stereo Microscope, Scanning Electron Microscope (Sem), Bright-field microscopy, light microscope, Inverted microscope, Atomic force microscope, Petrographic microscope, and Polarized light microscopy. An object placed on the stage is magnified through the objective lens. When the target is focused, a magnified image can be observed through the ocular lens. The principle of microscopy is that a simple microscope works on the principle that when a tiny object is placed within its focus, a virtual, erect, and magnified image of the object is formed at the least distance of distinct vision from the eye held close to the lens.
