Microbial Diseases can be defined as sicknesses or ailments caused in animals and humans by the introduction of one of four different types of microbes. Microorganisms (Microbe) are very diverse and include all the bacteria and archaea and almost all the protozoa. They also include some fungi, algae, and certain animals, such as rotifers. Infection can be defined as the multiplication of microbes (from viruses to multicellular parasites) in the tissues of the host. Infectious diseases have deeply influenced the course of human history. Infections are a major cause of morbidity and mortality in the world.
