Every child has a very special fascination towards trains. It is a truth that we love travelling in trains as well as watching them passing by making the koo koo sounds. Most of us even like to imitate the sounds made by a train. In the rhyme also we see what a train does. The train consumes on coal and water and can travel day and night even though it is tired. It doesn't care about the weather and takes people from place to place. This is what we see in the little poem Mazhayathodum Theevandi as well.
ഓരോ കുട്ടിക്കും തീവണ്ടികളോട് ഒരു പ്രത്യേക ആകർഷണമുണ്ട്. തീവണ്ടികളിൽ യാത്ര ചെയ്യുന്നതും കൂ കൂ ശബ്ദമുണ്ടാക്കി അവർ കടന്നുപോകുന്നത് നോക്കിനിൽക്കുന്നതും നമ്മൾ ഏവരും ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു. ട്രെയിനിന്റെ ശബ്ദം അനുകരിക്കാൻ പോലും നമ്മളിൽ പലരും ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു. തീവണ്ടി കൽക്കരിയുടെയും വെള്ളത്തിന്റെയും സഹായത്തോടെയാണ് സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നത്. ക്ഷീണമുണ്ടെങ്കിലും രാവും പകലും അവ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു. കാലാവസ്ഥയെ ഒന്നും ശ്രദ്ധിക്കാതെ, യാത്രക്കാരെ ഒരു സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നും മറ്റൊരിടത്തേക്ക് അവർ കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നു.
