This beautiful devotional song is from the album “Deepam Makara Deepam.” In this album there is a collection of ten devotional songs and this song was sung by P. Jayachandran. He is a very famous Indian playback singer and classical musician from Kerala and best known as ‘Bhava Gayakan.’ This song was written and composed by Bichu Thirumala in the year 1980.
ഈ മനോഹരമായ ഭക്തിഗാനം"ദീപം മകര ദീപം" എന്ന ആൽബത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ളതാണ്. പത്ത് ഭക്തിഗാനങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു ശേഖരം ഈ ആൽബത്തിലുണ്ട്, ഈ ഗാനം ആലപിച്ചത് പി.ജയചന്ദ്രനാണ്. കേരളത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ള വളരെ പ്രശസ്തനായ ഇന്ത്യൻ പിന്നണി ഗായകനും ശാസ്ത്രീയ സംഗീതജ്ഞനുമായ അദ്ദേഹം ‘ഭാവ ഗായകൻ’ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. 1980-ൽ ബിച്ചു തിരുമലയാണ് ഈ ഗാനം രചിച്ച് സംഗീതം നൽകിയത്.
