Amongst the most prominent of handlooms in Andhra Pradesh are the Mangalagiri and the Kalamkari varieties. While the Mangalagiri variety gets its name from the place where it is most produced, a small town called Mangalagiri in Guntur District, Kalamkari is sourced from two places — Pedana in Krishna District and Kalahasthi in Chittoor District.
