"Mandasameeranil ozhukiyozhukiyethum" is a song from the movie Chattakkari which is a 1974 Indian Malayalam film directed by K. S Sethumadhavan and produced by M. O. Joseph, starring Lakshmi, Mohan Sharma, Adoor Bhasi, and Sukumari, and directed by K. S. Sethumadhavan. The song was sung by K J Yesudas. G. Devarajan composed the music, while Vayalar Ramavarma and Usha Uthup wrote the lyrics. Thoppil Bhasi wrote the screenplay, which was based on Pamman's classic novel of the same name. It was Lakshmi's first Malayalam film, and it also marked the beginning of her romance with co-star Mohan Sharma. Lakshmi was nominated for the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress and the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Adoor Bhasi, who played Laxmi's alcoholic father, won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor, and the Filmfare Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam for the film. Pamman was awarded the Kerala State Film Award for Best Story.
കെ എസ് സേതുമാധവൻ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത് എം ഒ ജോസഫ് നിർമ്മിച്ച് ലക്ഷ്മി, മോഹൻ ശർമ്മ, അടൂർ ഭാസി, സുകുമാരി എന്നിവർ അഭിനയിച്ച് കെ എസ് സേതുമാധവൻ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത 1974-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ചട്ടക്കാരി എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഒരു ഗാനമാണ് "മന്ദസമീറനിൽ ഒഴുകിയൊഴുകി എത്തും". കെ ജെ യേശുദാസാണ് ഗാനം ആലപിച്ചത്. വയലാർ രാമവർമയും ഉഷാ ഉതുപ്പും വരികൾ എഴുതിയപ്പോൾ ജി.ദേവരാജൻ സംഗീതം പകർന്നു. പമ്മന്റെ അതേ പേരിലുള്ള ക്ലാസിക് നോവലിനെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയാണ് തോപ്പിൽ ഭാസി തിരക്കഥ എഴുതിയത്. ലക്ഷ്മിയുടെ ആദ്യ മലയാള ചിത്രമായിരുന്നു ഇത്, ഒപ്പം സഹനടൻ മോഹൻ ശർമ്മയുമായുള്ള അവളുടെ പ്രണയത്തിന്റെ തുടക്കവും ഇത് അടയാളപ്പെടുത്തി. ലക്ഷ്മി മികച്ച നടിക്കുള്ള കേരള സംസ്ഥാന ചലച്ചിത്ര അവാർഡിനും മികച്ച നടിക്കുള്ള ഫിലിംഫെയർ അവാർഡിനും നാമനിർദ്ദേശം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടു. ലക്ഷ്മിയുടെ മദ്യപാനിയായ അച്ഛനായി അഭിനയിച്ച അടൂർ ഭാസി മികച്ച നടനുള്ള കേരള സംസ്ഥാന ചലച്ചിത്ര അവാർഡും മലയാളത്തിലെ മികച്ച ഫീച്ചർ ഫിലിമിനുള്ള ഫിലിംഫെയർ അവാർഡും ഈ ചിത്രത്തിന് നേടി. മികച്ച കഥയ്ക്കുള്ള കേരള സംസ്ഥാന ചലച്ചിത്ര പുരസ്കാരം പമ്മന് ലഭിച്ചു.
