Malayalam is a Dravidian language primarily spoken by the natives of the Indian state of Kerala. The language was recognised as a ‘Classical language of India’ in 2013. Malayalam Aksharamala is the alphabet series of the language. The aksharamala is divided into swaraksharangal and vyanjanaksharangal. Swaraksharangal is the vowel series consisting of 15 letters. Vyanjanaksharangal is the consonant series consisting of 36 letters.
ഇന്ത്യൻ സംസ്ഥാനമായ കേരളത്തിലെ തദ്ദേശവാസികൾ പ്രാഥമികമായി സംസാരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ദ്രാവിഡ ഭാഷയാണ് മലയാളം. 2013-ൽ ഈ ഭാഷ 'ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ക്ലാസിക്കൽ ഭാഷ' ആയി അംഗീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. മലയാള അക്ഷരമാലയെ സ്വരക്ഷരങ്ങൾ, വ്യഞ്ജനക്ഷരങ്ങൾ എന്നിങ്ങനെ തിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. 15 അക്ഷരങ്ങൾ അടങ്ങിയ സ്വര പരമ്പരയാണ് സ്വരക്ഷങ്ങൾ. 36 അക്ഷരങ്ങൾ അടങ്ങിയതാണ് വ്യഞ്ജനാക്ഷരങ്ങളാണ്.
